dear doris. i can’t handle halloween. why the hell am i so scared of woo woo and witches? love terry-fied.
dearest terry-fied
in light (or darkness) of halloween tonight, i thought it would be fun to change (pointy) hats and post today — tapping into the witch archetype. in part I i download the answer from my higher self and ask why some of us humans prefer not to open up the can of woo-woo worms. in part II a simple meditation is offered for the witch woundings. this newsletter returns to sunday posts next week.
part I.
the witch is an archetype that has existed since the beginnings of conscious times. mainly women but also men who were embued with special powers of healing and growth in a way that seemed supernatural to your regular town and country folk. for many, many millenia the witch was able to thrive and become a necessary and central figure to the society or a village or a township of people.
the witches would use herbs and elements of earth to revitalise and resuscitate and restore health and healing to common and not so common royal or high earth ranking folks.
witches were revered for a long time before the dark ages, when the shift in power towards a kind of toxic masculinity began to grow and rage and set these witches hearts on fire —literally. many perished in the element of fire, engulfed in flames and rage, ravaging their etheric and physical bodies. we still bear the scars of this crucifixion — this massacre of magic and divine femininity linked to earth gaia and her elements of earth, wind, air and fire.
the fire element still rages amongst many who have been reborn and incarnated into new physical bodies in this present day. while the soul still remembers the flames engulfing them and the wounds from past livestock the physical incarnation does not. so often there is a bite, a feisty rage or anger that resides with these former witches— a fire that burned them previously remains lit within and it is theirs and our job as women, men and them to transmute this fire element into air and earth.
we must un-rage and undo and unravel and allow our flames to die down — to learn to extinguish our burned and singed hearts with the upmost self love. that we are worthy, that we were wronged yes, but we are here to move through the flames and come out the other side, allowing our ashes to fall to the earth and reunite with the ground of gaia earth.
part II.
a meditation for witch wounds
close your eyes and envisage in your minds eye —
allow the air to dissipate and disperse and ‘die’ us into thin air, so that we become one with the element of wind, a calm, cool, gentle nurturing breeze that cools the fire and embalms the heart. much like a burn victim who undergoes skin therapy with cool wet bandages, imagine that coolness all around your heart, soothing and softening and allowing your heart to rest and heal and regenerate.
the heart is a muscle that can grow etherically and expand spiritually. a burned heart is unable to grow, unless it undergoes the embalming process of love and receptivity and a recollection of the magic that still exists within you. take three deep breaths while the coolness envelops you and into your heart.
repeat three times.
the witch is a powerful archetype to incarnate into and it is a resurgent source rising again from the ashes literally.
let your inner witches guide you with your nose and inner ears and clairsentient ways.
witches are here to stay.

love d xx
