what does guilt & shame serve to teach us?
issue 68 guilt and shame are terrible friends & foes who live within each other and tread on each others toes

why do i always feel so guilty?
why does it feel so shameful to share things from my past?
dear guilty as charged
this week i tune into higher consciousness to download and share what guilt and shame serve to teach us our soul journey as humans on earth. kindly note any reference to god or heaven can be replaced for any venerable or vernacular that suits you. thank you for being here.
part I.
guilt and shame are terrible friends and foes who live within each other — stepping on and treading on each others toes.
they are despicable and dangerous as a pair yet alone and separately they are vulnerable and shy and can lay hidden deep in the subconscious of the human mind. they live within the same quadrant or corner of your house and collect dust and debris growing and swirling over time, if you don’t do the housework and clear the guilty cobwebs and sweep the shame away.
but rather than sweeping it all under the rug, it is important to address them both and acknowledge that they served a purpose that causes you to pause and recollect, reimagine and rectify their past behaviours in a precarious situation. then when sufficient work is done in dismantling and disowning the danger prevailed you can disconnect from the act from the past, while one hundred percent acknowledging the role you partook in creating a shameful outcome or guilty verdict.
when the smoke has cleared and the debris has settled, then sweep — as it no longer serves you and you may create space for love, light and joy and redemption to enter.
know that we are all folly yet also can be jolly.
know that we all sin or sink but we all can partake in love and light and joyful occasions — that we deserve or must serve ourselves with great joy in whatever form in which it takes place. be it a joyful activity from god/source or a joyful occasion or a joyful moment shared with another human soul.
know that it is truly okay for you to be in the arms of joy and her embrace.
know that you are worthy of ecstatic joy in every cell of your being.
know that it is okay for you to be basking in the joy of source consciousness and the golden orb of light that joy emanates. we are pure souls who innately understand joy is a natural state of being one with our surroundings and one with the earth and all that encompasses it.
know it is definitely okay to sing joy to the world and sing hark the merry angels sing and truly mean it. despite what darkness or disaster looms or glooms, joy can be had at any given moment in time and space and can be found when a tiny pocket appears, as the brothers of guilt and shame have left the building.
